Mount Ajdahak
The relief of the country is diverse. One may come across both folded mountain ranges and groups of volcanic mountains, peaks and plateaus, canyons and valleys. The geological formation and climatic diversity of the highland have contributed to the biodiversity of the country. Deserts, semi-deserts, steppes, forests, meadow-steppes, sub-Alpine, and Alpine meadows follow one another. The deserts and semi-deserts are in the lowest part of the country (600-1400m), the Alpine carpets and flora combinations, co-existing with snow (3000-3600m), are found in the highest part and sub-Alpine meadows, high grass, mountainous steppes, forests and the rock flora are in interim part.
